HELLO MT. TIPTON FAMILIES!
We want to make you aware of a big change for next school year:
Mt. Tipton will no longer offer 6th grade starting in 2025-2026.
While this decision was not made lightly, we're here to support you through the transition. Families will have two main options for 6th grade:
Black Mountain School in Golden Valley
KUSD's Online Learning Community (KOLC) for virtual learning
We encourage families to consider Black Mountain, as it offers electives, sports, clubs, and a smoother transition into middle school life. Starting in 6th grade also gives students a chance to build friendships and adjust before entering 7th grade.

We know this is a big change, but your child will always be part of the Mt. Tipton family. We're proud of their growth and excited for what lies ahead.
