first woman on the U.S. Supreme Court—as Sandra Day O’Connor
Civics Celebration Day.
o A.R.S. 15-710.01. On Sandra Day O’Connor’s civics celebration
day, each public school in this state shall dedicate the majority of the
school day to civics education.

Next week, reminders!
Don't forget the quarter ends on September 26th and Fall Break is September 27th through October 13th.

Check out out Athletic club with Coach Devoid! They are learning so much about sports and living a healthy lifestyle!

On September 17, schools across the country will dig into the U.S. Constitution—4,400 words that define how our government works.
A 2004 law signed by President George W. Bush established September 17 as Constitution Day (previously known as Citizenship Day). The law requires government employees and schools that receive federal funds to devote time on this day to learning about this 233-year-old document. An older law, established in 1956, sets aside September 17–23 as Constitution Week.
Celebrate the freedoms this document grants us in September and all year long!

Reminder

Turn in all entries to Mrs. Gooch!

Due to the air quality, recess will be indoors for the remainder of the day.

Please be Aware!

Tomorrow Cerbat students will be participating in lessons on the 9/11 tragedy. We understand that this is a difficult topic.
Please know our teachers have created lessons for the level of maturity appropriate for their classrooms.
Take time as a family tonight to discuss the events of 9/11. Discussions as a family are very important and will help students prepare for their lessons tomorrow.
If you would like your child to be excused from this lesson please contact the office for an alternative education lesson.

Starting After Break!

Every month Mr. Wigal is choosing an outstanding Ram in each grade level to get a 3D printed object.
These rams have been chosen by their classroom teachers to be placed in a drawing.
Mr. Wigal hopes to continue this for the month of September!

Check out 5th grade's Volume Zoo. Students had to measure the volume of each box and then they used the boxes to build an animal. Students did a mini research project about their animals. The zoo was on display for the school the last week of August.
