Last week Mrs. Wigal's class worked on Newton's Laws with bouncy balls!

Don't Forget starting soon!(6 to 8pm) is our Backyard BBQ at Cerbat. We will have smoked pulled pork sandwiches and sides! The cost is $5.00 a plate or $20.00 for a family of 5. Come enjoy good food and good times. Proceeds will go to our PTO to plan future events!

Last week Mrs. Pape's class held their ceremony for their Reading Olympics. Students had to read and write summaries of chapter books to earn medals. Students were given 3 weeks to complete their task. 1 book for bronze, 2 for silver, and 3 for gold. 18 students received medals this year. Congratulations to our medalist!

In addition to receiving her Master's Degree. Last week Mrs.Handyside was awarded with citizenship teacher of the year for Arizona and national by the VFW auxiliary! Congrats to our special kindergarten teacher Mrs. Handyside!

Changes to Go-Home Procedures: We wanted to inform you about some important changes to our go-home procedures, effective July 17. **New Pickup Zones.** Please check the updated map below for your child's designated pickup area. Please arrive promptly to avoid congestion. **Express Pickup will be in front of the school and parents will remain in their vehicle TEACHERS WILL BE OUT NO LATER THAN 2:35pm. State requirements require that we do not release until 2:35pm.

Nearly 120 Kingman Unified School District No. 20 vocalists provided a packed house with an incredible evening of music during the district's 39th Annual Choral Festival hosted by Kingman High School. The schools who performed were: Cerbat Elementary School Desert Willow Elementary School Manzanita Elementary Kingman Middle School Choirs Kingman High School The performance showcased the next steps in the district's choir programs from elementary to middle school to high school. Let's join, Choir!

Join our district's talented vocalists this week for the nearly 40-year tradition of KUSD Choral Festivals. Singers grades 3-12 will come together in song to celebrate music and their passion. Both festival performances are free and open to the public.

What a dynamic evening of quality music! Last night's Kingman Unified School District No. 20 Band Festival at Kingman High School showcased the levels of musicianship from beginning to intermediate to advanced. From elementary to high school, we wish for our talented students to continue their musical experiences. Let's join, Band! Congratulations to band members from Cerbat Elementary School, Manzanita Elementary, Kingman Middle School and Kingman High School. Bravo!

Lee Williams High School 's Hispanic Student Union Club is hosting their annual Cinco de Mayo event on May 3rd from 5pm to 8:30pm in their school cafeteria and commons area (400 Grandview Ave.). Mrs. Hill's students have a lot of exciting things happening at this event and they want to make sure the entire community is invited to have the opportunity to come and enjoy the festivities. They will have piñatas, food vendors, various LWHS Clubs will be there representing their clubs, a learning center full of games, activities and opportunities to win prizes. Merengue dance lessons and a dance competition among many other fun activities for families of all ages to enjoy. This is a FREE event. The only thing that costs money is the food being sold, as well as $5.00 wristbands to play unlimited games and activities to win prizes. We greatly appreciate your help and support!
