Last Thursday, your child brought home a Parent Information Envelope letting you know about a safe and easy way for our school to raise funds for essential tools our students and teachers need to succeed. The Reading for Education fundraiser is 100% online so there is NO face-to-face selling, handling money, or delivering products. Your participation will take less than 12 minutes, and there are exciting prizes to make it fun for the students. Here is all you need to do to participate: 1. Go to https://www.rfe.net/sid.t?0000139068 to sign up. 2. Send form emails inviting family, friends and co-workers to support your child. 3. Return the Envelope with the Student Prize Code to school for your child to get their fun participation prize. Be sure to ask your child for the Parent Envelope that came home on Thursday. Your participation will make a difference for our school and teachers!

Desert Willow is implementing the ‘Meet the Masters’ art program this year for the very first time! We are looking for Desert Willow parent-volunteers who would be interested in teaching art lessons inside classrooms for our Kindergarten through 5th grade students. If you are a parent/volunteer and are interested in volunteering your time to teach this program, please email our instructional coach team (minunez@kusd.org or bgutierrez@kusd.org) and we will be able to provide you with more info!

Included on this calendar are the dates for: • i-Ready Diagnostic 1 Testing (July 30th - August 1st) • Our first School Spirit Week (August 26th - 29th) • Our Scholastic Book Fair (August 26th - August 29th) • Parent Teacher Conferences (August 28th & 29th)

Desert Willow's iReady Diagnostic Testing for students will begin tomorrow (July 30th) and run through the end of the week! This diagnostic test is a great opportunity for students to showcase their strengths going into the new school year. We believe in our students!

Update: Route 10 was able to get through traffic and will only be a few mins late. Attn Parents: 7/25/24 @ 4:10pm: Bus Route 10 is running 30-45 mins late due to being stuck in traffic. This will affect the last two stops at Fort Beale and Betty and Kingman Station Apartments. If you have any questions about this please call our Transportation Dept. at 928-753-5928

Kingman Unified School District #20 will be offering healthy meals to all students at no cost every school day in the 2024-25 school year! 🎉 Your child(ren) will receive free breakfast and lunch meals every school day without having to pay a fee or submit a household application. Your child(ren)’s school is approved to operate Community Eligibility Provision.
